We moved into our RV at the beginning of summer, in June. Until a few weeks ago, we had experienced nothing but hot weather while living here. And until a few weeks ago, I didn't remember how much I am NOT a fan of cold weather. I feel like living in an RV has reminded me of that even more and given me an extra reason to not like the cold. Why? One word...propane, or should we just call it, "Pro-PAIN"? We have two 30 gallon tanks and because we only use them for the oven, stovetop, and Blackstone grill when it's warm out, we haven't had to refill them until now. And maybe we're just unlucky, but we've already sprung a leak on one of the propane hoses. And I'll be honest, the idea of propane in general just gives me anxity. So, as we wait for Amazon to come to the rescue with a new hose, we've just been living off of the one other tank. While we were at it, we went ahead and added tank sensors to our tanks, so we always know their levels. Plus, we ordered some emergengy auto shut off valves too, just for more peace of mind. With the changing of the weather has also come a time of change with full time RV life. We've lived here for almost 5 months. We've settled in and it really feels like "home" now. In another 7 months, we will have experienced most of our "firsts", like we experienced our first Halloween in the RV last night. The newness has worn off and it has become our way of life. We still aren't traveling full time, but it's still in our near future, if everything goes as planned. This is about the time I thought I might be growing tired of full time RV life. But, I'm not. As we get ready for the Christmas season, I worry a little that it just won't be "the same". But with each day, week, and month, I'm realizing that the place you live isn't what makes the experiences and seasons feel right, it's the people you spend them with. I'll still be traveling home for Christmas, like I always do. I'll still be spending the holidays the same way as usual. But this year, we'll have an extra perk that we wouldn't have had before. After the holidays, we're taking our "home" to the desert! We'll be exploring our first National Park. So, all in all, RV life hasn't changed our lives that much. But, it's definitely ENRICHED them!
