Alderwood is a perfect location for visiting Spokane, Coeur d/Alene, and other East Washington locations. While the sites aren't super large and might be a little challenging to get into, we successfully fit our 45 foot fifth wheel. The location and accommodations make up for the tight fit! The heated indoor pool, outside fire pit by the playground, and activity center with pool table is great for hanging out in between adventures.

Cascades RV Resort - Sultan, WA

Cascades is nestled in the cute little town of Sultan, WA. It's in the perfect location if you want to be close to Seattle and the North Cascades, but you don't want to be right in the middle of all of the traffic and chaos. It's just a short drive to places like Leavenworth, WA and the park has extremely large sites, which we really enjoyed. There's tons to do in the area or you can just enjoy the park and it's amenities like the on site coffee shop!

We chose Mesquite Trails RV Resort because it was close to Vegas, Valley of Fire, and St. George. We easily could have stayed here much longer! Their facilities were still under construction, as of May of 2024, but we saw the plans and they're going to be fantastic! Mesquite, NV is such a neat town and it's OHV/Side-By-Side friendly, so you can drive them right on the street so you can get to the MANY trails around. This is the perfect in between spot for anywhere near the Nevada, Arizona, Utah border! Visit 3 states in one visit!

Page, Arizona - Roam America

Add this one to your list of must stay places! We did NOT give ourselves enough time in the little town of Page, AZ. The Canyons RV Resort did not disappoint either! It was gorgeous with beautiful amenities. And who knew SO many activities could be packed into such a small area. We visited Horseshoe Bend, Lower Antelope Canyon, and Lake Powell during our visit. The greatest part is, you can reach out to them and they'll help you set up the activities with their partners. Zion National Park - The Orchards at Kolob RV Resort

This little park in the less busy part of Zion was perfect! Kolob Canyon is the lesser known part of Zion, but still breathtakingly beautiful. This is one of those parks we could have spent months at. It was practically brand new, with beautiful sites, astroturf, and a great layout. Our boys enjoyed the playground several times during our visit and the dog park was extremely convenient. Oh, and the views...did I mention the amazing views? ;-)

Grand Canyon - Raptor Ranch RV Park

Again, location is key with this park! About half way between Williams, Arizona and Grand Canyon National Park, Raptor Ranch is at the perfect halfway point. It was such a relief to grab a huge pizza and 12 pack at their on-site store and diner after an extremely long drive day. Our boys had a blast playing at Bedrock City, as well. It's a nostalgic little play area with a Flintstone's theme. You can also catch their fly-by raptor shows several times per week!

Terlingua, TX - Big Bend National Park - Roadrunner Travelers RV Park

We visited Roadrunner Travelers RV Park for New Years in 2022/2023 and it was AMAZING!! This park is just minutes from Big Bend and so quaint and perfect! Being able to fit our almost 44 foot RV into a park is important to us and they were able to accommodate us easily. There were activities for adults and kids, including live music a couple of nights. I don't take recommendations lightly and I would highly recommend this park and we can't wait to go back! The park shared a discount code with us for our friends and family. Port Aransas, TX - Boondock ON the Beach!

For $12 per year, you can park your RV right on the beach in Port Aransas, TX. Check their website and if you go at the right time of year, you can even park parallel to the water. Run your generator, if that's your thing. We strongly suggest a weekday trip in the off season. This beach can get EXTREMELY crowded on the weekends. Waco, TX - Camp Fimfo

If you love animals and serenity, this RV park is a complete experience! Skip Disney and just splurge to stay here instead. This isn't your ordinary park. With free roaming Zebras and other exotic animals, you can roam around in a golf cart and feel a bit like you're in another country. Before my family woke up each morning, I roamed over to the giraffes and hung out with them and watched the sunrise. This may have been one of my favorite weeks ever. During the day, you can rent one of their golf carts and roam their land where zebras, cows, and other animals (I don't even remember the names of) roam. It's truly like a Texas safari! We also booked a time to, get this...SWIM WITH OTTERS! My boys were too young, but that didn't stop me from climbing in the hot tub to feed the cuties shrimp while they swam all around me and played. That's another one I can cross off of my bucket list. I think the most memorable thing for us, besides the animals, was the fact that this was so far from "touristy" and overcrowded, that we often felt we were the only ones there. If you want peace and quiet, you definitely need to put this park on your list!
